On April 19, 2021, our family – together with conductor Dirk Brossé, jazz trio, string orchestra and 6 soloists – honored my father Marc Matthys’ 65th birthday with a Livestream concert. The entire program consisted of his original music and arrangements. Due to Covid, there was no live audience allowed, but we did not let that stop us from celebrating such a milestone. And so the original idea of a birthday concert merged into a birthday livestream.

To help make this event a reality, and in addition to my roll as soloist and lyricist, I designed my father’s official website, set-up and supervised the online ticketing, coordinated the visibility and social media presence, and presented the event in both English and Dutch. The event was Livestreamed on my NMusician channel.
